Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani  is now the third highest grosser of all time in Bollywood. The Ranbir Deepika starrer has left behind Dabang 2 as the third highest and garnered in 164cr. Dabang 2 was earlier at the third position with 158 cr.

The first highest grosser remains 3 idiots followed by Ek Tha Tiger with collections of 202 cr and 198 cr respectively. Karan Johar produced and  Ayan Mukherjee directed YJHD is now in its third week and as yet been true to the predictions by experts who said it will go down in the records as one of the highest grosser. With the film hitting bigger popularity day by day it will be no surprise if it crosses 3 iditots and becomes the highest grosser of all time.

 The film starring ex flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone , one of the most exciting couples in Bollywood, is a Superhit  from day one.With the film still continuing to fresh in the market , it is a matter of curiosity for  all whether it will beat Ek Tha Tiger too.

Tom Struthers and John Street are not easy to impress, especially for a team that has worked on some of the finest action movies in Hollywood such as The Bourne Ultimatum, Blood Diamond, Saving Private Ryan, Inception, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight rises. However, the talented action directors were left speechless after Rishi Kapoor performed a brilliantly executed action sequence on the sets of D-Day without any training or rehearsals.

The veteran actor was shooting for an action sequence with Irrfan Khan which required him to crawl on the ground and engage in some intense hand to hand combat. Rishi Kapoor, who plays the character of Goldman, India’s most wanted criminal in the movie surprised the action director duo with his agility and accuracy in performance making the sequence look not only authentic but also extremely well executed leaving both Tom Struthers and John Street amazed. Tom Struthers was also heard saying that Rishi Kapoor’s performance was ‘one of the best he has seen’ in his career spanning over two decades.

D-Day is produced by DAR Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Directed by Nikhil Advani, D-Day stars Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Arjun Rampal, Shruti Haasan, Huma Qureshi, Akash Dahiya, Sree Swara and Chandan Roy Sanyal amongst others. The movie is slated to release on the 19^th of July.

The incident came as a shock to Dia as she wasn’t aware of the same and the actor is very upset with how things have turned up. Talking about the incident Gautam Mehmood, Dia’s lawyer said: “The non payment of dues to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWWSB) was due to oversight. The water connection was taken a long time ago and Ms. Mirza was not aware of the same. There is no dispute regarding either the water connection or the dues thereof while it would be relevant to state Ms. Mirza was not aware of the water connection or the bills due regarding the same but as a responsible citizen she is doing the right thing and settling all the bills within the next 24 hours.”

The actor who always abides by the law also stated in a popular micro blogging site, “It would be relevant to state I was not aware of the water connection or the bills due.” The actor is leaving no stone unturned to know how this lapse happened. Given her track record, we could say that the whole incident is unfortunate.

Putting an end to all the speculation about what was versatile actor Shreyas Talpade’s next after his hugely successful Houseful 2, Pun Films Pvt. Ltd. and Spider Wave Films announced the end of shoot today (principle photography) for the Shreyas Talpade and Manjari Fadnis starrer Wah Taj  Being directed by debutant Ajit Sinha, jointly produced by Pawan Sharma and Abhinav Verma.

An interesting humor laced thriller about one man’s struggle against the establishment set against the very picturesque and romantic Taj Mahal, Wah Taj was shot primarily in Agra and Bhopal with a short schedule in Mumbai.  The movie explores and depicts Agra in a way never seen before on celluloid. Other than the Shreyas and Manjari the principal cast of the film also includes the historic Taj Mahal and Hemant Pandey,Rajesh Sharma, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Rakesh Shrivastava amongst others.

“The script of the movie is very honest and relatable, so I needed a seasoned and earnest actor like Shreyas to do justice to the role. The experience of shooting this film was monumental. Additionally I must commend the entire cast and crew of this film whom despite being from different parts of country, came together brilliantly with their collective experience and creative input, enabling the final product to be par expectations.” said director, Ajit Sinha.

Amitesh Kumar, spokesperson stated, “The film was mounted and executed as per plan. I am very pleased that Ajit has shot the film well within schedule despite the film being shot at multiple real locations. I would also like to thank the local authorities for their support as we could not have delivered a complex yet great movie, like Wah Taj, well within schedule without that.”

The film is slated to release towards end 2013.

Bollywood’s pretty bubbly lass Parineeti Chopra forms an interesting pair with Kai Po Che fame Sushant Singh Rajput in the upcoming YRF produced film Shuddh Desi Romance. As the title itself suggests it is a Romantic comedy exploiting many aspects of love from friendship and infatuation to commitment and true love. It is yet another Romcom under the production of Aditya Chopra.

Shuddh Desi Romance also stars Rishi Kapoor and new comer Vaani Kapoor.  The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma who directed Baand Baja Baraat and wrote Chak De India. Jaideep Sahni has scripted the film.

 Shuddh Desi Romance will hit theatres on 13^st September.

Jiah Khan’s alleged suicide notes were analyzed by handwriting experts who reached the conclusion that the handwriting in those letters did not match Jiah’s hand writing in other letters.

Jiah Khan’s suicide case took an interesting turn on Sunday with a blog in support of Suraj pancholi who is behind the bars after accusations by Rabiya Khan of having caused extreme trauma to her deceased daughter Nafisa/ Jiah Khan which prompted the latter to take the extreme step. The alleged suicide note by Jiah on the basis of which the accusations were made has been found counterfeit by the experts who examined them.

In addition to this, the blog by the name, “ Stand up for Suraj” has uploaded a couple of notes written by Jiah to Suraj earlier this month found at the latter’s residence. They contain expression of much affection by the actress for her beau Suraj. The blog claims that the handwriting of these letters does not match with the suicide note produced by Rabiya Khan. Hence, according to the blog, the Suicide note is not genuine.

While the  accusations on  Suraj Pancholi to have abetted Jiah Khan’s murder has tarnished the aspiring actor’s image, some people have come up in support of the young man with a blog ! Stand Up For Suraj is the title of the blog. It has uploaded few letters that were written by the deceased Jiah/ Nafisa Khan to her boy friend Suraj.

The blog reasons why Suraj is not to be blamed in connection of the young star’s suicide. It also claims the complete innocence of Suraj Pancholi and intends to free him from the accusations and punishment. “ Free Suraj Now” forms a secondary statement of this blog that contains articles elaborating why Suraj is not the culprit is the case, along with the letters. This blog created sensation in social media sites overnight.

In this original Indian adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet directed by Manish Tiwary, we see the story transposed to Banaras and its neigbouring areas that are witness to violence unleashed by sand mafia controlled by urban elite and equally violent retaliation by Naxalite armies. The sand mafia is run by two influential Banarasi families, Kashyaps and Mishras, who are at brutal feud with each other. Kashyap has an 18-year old, pretty and innocent daughter Bachchi from his first wife, Bachchi’s role is played by Amyra Dastur who marks her debut in this film. On the other hand, Mishra’s son Rahul (Played by Prateik) is a good-looking teenager with predictable interests for a boy of his background – Girls & Guns!

Things change when the battle-hardened and pleasure-seeking Rahul and romantic yet head strong Bachchi fall in love. Disregarding the consequences, the young lovers choose go ahead with the dictats of their hearts. What follows is a high octane action-filled drama.
